Bruxie!

After the Wek’Fest LA show we went to Orange County for a place call Bruxie. Heard a lot of good things about it, they had good reviews on Yelp so we decided to try it. When we arrived, the town looked old school. It was a trip because it really felt like we traveled back in time. Everyone was beautiful, everyone was happy, kind of a strange place just because I’m so used to seeing the opposite. AH! seeing new places sure makes me want to move out of San Diego, but I’m sure living at one place for a long period of time will probably end up feeling the same anywhere.

Bruxie, a restaurant that serves waffle sandwich, that is all I needed to know to try this place, I do want to go back and try the rest of their stuff. I ordered the Carolina BBQ Pulled Pork and my brother ordered the fried chicken. I’m glad I ordered the pulled pork because the fried chicken wasn’t my favorite, I would’ve had a bad first impression. Their fresh Strawberry Lemonade was another good call, you gotta try that if you ever go there.

Western Steakburger!!!

I would say something corny about life starting off with “In life….” but I couldn’t think of anything clever to say haha. What I really want to say is, in my life, a good exercise is very important if I want to eat GOOD. That is the only concern I have to keep a balanced life. I know others may have more profound and serious things to balance in their lives but, I reached that age/stage/phase where….”frankly my dear, I don’t give a fuck” attitude towards money, relationships, drama, etc etc. For the past couple years I decided to just work, save, and then travel to eat. It makes everything all worth it. Of course I would love to be rich and have all that money, but I’m not stressing over that while I work towards that goal, I’ll just contemplate on what to eat when I visit Australia, New York, Chicago, Hawaii. So, since we’re talking about food, I have a list of burger joints to check out if you’re ever in San Diego. For this one, Western Steakburgers is fucking good! Must check it out if you ever get the chance. It’s located in North Park, I’m not even sure why this place doesn’t pop off like other burger joints I’ve been to but this burger takes the cake if compared to most joints. Scratch that, I still have to say Bare Back Grill is the ultimate champ for having the best burgers in town though.

Western Steakburgers, this is the….I forgot the name. I think its Wild West Burger or something but look, it has BBQ sauce, steak burger, bacon, lamb, and of course the onions, lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes. All that, says “delicious as fuck” and/or “you better run 5 miles to burn this off.”

And of course I got to add this random post on hats, I got a thing for hats for those that don’t know. We all wore some cool hats, thought I snap a few pics of them.

KIDS

Spent my Monday, which was Memorial Day with the cousins and their kids. BBQ as usual and the pool for the wild kids. I love taking photos and I haven’t shot these kids in a while, also made a short video of what went down today. I guess this is another side to my life, I think in my blog it features cars, fashion, clothes, sexy ladies, superficial shit. I got that family guy side of me that I rarely show and I extremely love….when spent with the fam.

I spent a good portion of my day arguing with the kids. I’ve learned that you will never win with kids. No matter if their wrong or not! They fight hunger, cold, let see , what else, that’s all I can think of. One incident, little dude didn’t want to eat because he wanted to go in the pool, we argued about that. And then later, we argued about it’s almost time to get out of the pool because it was getting cold, they protested that it wasn’t while they were silvering!!!! OMG!!

Summertime

Spent the Sunday with my cousins and their cute kids. BBQ by the pool down the street from my house, the kids got their tiny water gun so I grabbed my big ol Super Soaker from back in the days lol. I love spending time with my family.
